IronPython
The presentation is an introduction to IronPython, an implementation of the modern dynamic language Python on the .NET framework. It will also go deeper and investigate the awesome power and extensibility IronPython can add to traditional .NET applications.
Content is heavily weighted to coding examples as it’s the best way to demonstrate the productivity of developing in Python on the .NET framework. The demonstrations include doing stuff .NET developers do every day:
- Using and extending .NET objects and libraries
- Communicating with COM objects and SQL Server
- Building and Extending Windows Forms, Silverlight and WPF applications
Hopefully everyone will take away a basic understanding of what IronPython is all about and encourage developers to download the SDKs and get into it.

Application Architecture Guide
Microsoft patterns and practices group released the Application Architecture Guide v2.0 early this year and Mahesh Krishnan walks us through what is present in the guide. He talks about the design-level guidance it offers, deployment patterns, different architectural styles, layering guidelines, archetypes and much much more.
You don't have to be an architect to attend, so don't miss out.
